What are some of the most popular TV shows? Well, perhaps the most well known show of them all is Top Gear. According to the latest Wikipedia article, this has a whopping 365 million viewers worldwide. They are still making new Top Gear episodes (currently they are in season 12) and it’s still as popular as ever. So far, the latest season does seem to be pretty good. It looks like they are going back to old-style Top Gear where they just muck around with cars and don’t take it too seriously. In the latest episode, the Top Gear team finally took the Bugatti Veyron around the track, comparing it to a Pagani Zonda F. It’s definitely worth watching.
If you’re not interested in cars, and you prefer soap-operas and dramas instead, then you’ll probably prefer watching something like Desperate Housewives, which (apparently) has an estimated audience of over 100 million viewers according to Wikipedia’s article on it. There have already been 95 episodes of this show already. Like Top Gear, Desperate Housewives is still doing very well, and they are currently in their fifth season.
The only thing that is really more well known than Top Gear and Desperate Housewives is of course The Simpsons. Created by Matt Groening, this is about the most well known (and popular) television show ever. Last year, the Simpsons movie even came out, which wasn’t that bad. In total they now have over 400 episodes. Hopefully, The Simpsons will still be aired on TV for a long time to come.
